Advanced Manufacturing and Materials
The community has been the successful home to investments in advanced manufacturing and materials firms like BG Products, Pioneer Balloon, Barton Solvents and C-Tech Industries.
Continued infrastructure investment and site due diligence have recently been completed on several hundred acres of development opportunities, with more in the pipeline.
Oil and Gas
Home to HollyFrontier, the largest oil refinery in Kansas.
Other support businesses in the community make it an attractive place for Oil and Gas companies to locate and expand. MVC Purchasing and Embridge are a few of the companies that work with oil producers.
Agriculture
The State of Kansas — and our community — has a rich history in farming and ranching, making El Dorado well-suited for investments in agricultural manufacturing and production facilities.
Transportation and Logistics
El Dorado’s location and excellent access to interstate and highway networks —coupled with rail and air services — can meet the critical needs of any national or international company. Available industrial properties are within two miles of easily accessible east/west and north south highways. They are also on BNSF Railway’s main line and Union Pacific’s lead line which are located within five miles of a transload facility.
Savage El Dorado Rail Port Facility
Savage Services provides rail service to HollyFrontier Refining and has the capacity to serve other companies interested in rail service for raw and finished goods. The rail port facility is located on BNSF Railway’s main line and can provide daily service to other customers.
